Okay, so if this if your first Jedi Site, than I am sure you have many questions. As this must all seem very strange and a bit silly. I'll just get into it as best as I possibly can and hopefully clear up your questions and concerns. First I'll get into what we are NOT by talking a little bit about what we do not do. Despite what you may have seen, heard, or read;
- We do not wear Jedi Robes (outside of Halloween, if that is one's chosen costume).
- We do not believe Yoda, Obi-Wan, or any other fictional character, location, or device is real. As such we do not have lightsabers. Much to the disappoint of many kids worldwide, they are not real.
- We do not say prayers to George Lucas or the Force.
- Jedi is not a religion. Jediism (the Jedi religion movement) continually proves that themselves, every time they get into the media. Jedi is not an official religion, not a recoginzed religion, and hopefully never will be.

Overall the Jedi Path is one of very real and reasonable goals and pursuits. We will continue to what the Jedi are, what we do, and what we strive for. The Jedi Path is one of self-betterment. At the same time it is a path that advocates helping others. As the old adage goes; "Give a man a fish; feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish; feed him for a lifetime." With this in mind Jedi seek to help others to help themselves. Endorsing Self-discipline, self-control, self-reliance. Jedi seek to pass on what they themselves live, study, and experience. Mental, Emotional, and Physical well-being as gained through meditation, physical fitness, proper diet, stress and time management, conflict resolution, and general acceptance. Looking at some of the traits, tenets, and truths of the Jedi we can see that living as a Jedi encourages and teaches serenity, reliability, objectiveness, guidance, harmony. Jedi value diplomacy, honesty, and knowledge. Individuals who seek logical and reasonable explanations, not wild fantasy and sci-fi delusions. The Jedi Philosophy is very grounded in our society, our world, our time. Real-world application is the focus. Which is why you will find many real Jedi involved in the Peace-Keeping and Healing Professions; such Police Officer, Nurse, Fire Fighter, EMT, Security Officer, and the like. However there is one area even logic is hard press to prove, the Force.

The Force is that part of the Jedi that just screams Science Fiction. After-all, moving objects with the mind, tricking someone with the wave of your hand; believe it when I see it type of stuff. And perhaps not even than. Personally I have never met an actual Jedi who could do anything of that nature. All that is mostly Sci-Fi, and if not, we just are not there yet. However that does not mean the Force is complete fiction. The Force itself is real and any one can experience it. Of course with anything unseen, experience is up to individual interptuation. But allow me to explain the Force for you. Lucas once wrote; "The Force is an energy field...it binds the galaxy together." Honestly, after over 10 years of personal study, I cannot find fault in that line of thinking. The Force is energy, but look at it from this perspective: Imagine for a second that you are a fish within the ocean. Imagine what it would be like to be in the ocean, you are getting something to eat and than you are dragged up out of the ocean. All you knew vanishing and than gone, yet you see this bright new place. You see that your whole world, everything you breathed, ate, slept in, it was all just a small part of a much larger world. Now obviously we look to the Force as the ocean and us as the fish. The Force is an energy field that blankets all we know. It connects and is a part of life, it has a flow and current to it. After 18+ years of personal experience and study, shared experience and discussions, the best way I find to explain the Force is simply as that; the Force is the ocean and we are the fish within it. This I felt this was the best answer in 2001 and have not found a better one since. I later found out in 1999 Jedi Knight G of the Force Academy had recorded similar thoughts. And of course Jedi are not the first to have such ideals, as there is a old zen story with the same message.

Hopefully this has helped. If not, please read our F.A.Q. and Regulations as these may clear up many questions and concerns.
